MJ Photographic & Video was the inspiration of “Matthys Johannes Scheepers” and was founded in 1996. Together with his wife, Lorraine, they started a Photographic shop in Hoedspruit, in the times before digital photography. The shop used to be in 3 different locations in town, and was solely a Photo and Framing shop. The framing section was later sold and instead they started with an internet café with the move to the Kamogelo Centre.

 

In 2006 Henk Honiball became the new owner of this establishment. Bringing with him knowledge, experience and a passion for photography which he had gained from being a photographer for the South Africa Air Force. Serving in the Defense Force for 16 years he specialized in amongst other genres, aerial photography. He then expanded the business, diversified and relocated premises to the current address – where it is now well known amongst the locals and tourists. 

 

MJ’s Photographic has always taken pride on its customer service. To be able to provide this kind of service, the business needs very loyal and dedicated staff.  We are very proud of our staff and value each staff member, and quickly make them part of the MJ’s family. Two staff members have also succeeded with a photographic diploma, namely Nicholas Vorster and Nadine Matthee.
